Cheap Car Hire in Malta

Hiring a cheap car in Malta is one of the best ways to see everything that this wonderful destination has to offer. Having your own car allows you to come and go from places as you please without having to rely on poor taxi services or unreliable bus schedules. Hiring a vehicle also makes for a much more comfortable trip, especially if you are travelling as a family. Everyone with their own seat and plenty of space in a car always beats a cramped bus or very long walks with tired kids.

Places to visit in Malta with a hire car

There are a number of fantastic places to visit in Malta with a hire car. Without a doubt one of the standout attractions is the incredible capital of Malta: Valletta. This enclosed fortress-style city dates back to the 16th century and its centerpiece is the grand Saint John’s Co-Cathedral. Just a stone-throw away from there is the Grandmaster’s Palace - the former residence of the iconic Knights of Malta that boasts grand painting and an impressive armoury. The island of Gozo is also a great trip which can be reached from Malta via ferry. It features a number of quiet towns and pristine beaches which set a very idyllic scene. The medieval town of Mdina is also a must-visit when you are travelling to Malta. The town is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is accessible through its grand, medieval-style gates. Unfortunately, you will have to park outside the gates to get in here. Neighbouring Rabat is Mdina’s modern suburb with a combination of churches and museums to explore as well as great places to grab some delicious food and drink.
