The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is perhaps one of the most fascinating and exciting destinations in the whole world. Containing many areas that were mainly sand dunes just a century ago, it is now home to some of the world’s swankiest hotels, fancy beaches and red-hot shopping destinations for all to enjoy. The UAE is made up of seven states and two of the most popular are Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Each of the states has their own unique charm, history and things to do so you are unlikely to ever get sick of exploring!

Across the whole of the UAE you can expect a hot desert climate. That means that during the summer months of July and August if we look at Dubai specifically, average highs are around a sizzling 38C. One of the most attractive aspects of this area of the world is its low rainfall and warm temperatures all year round. Take a trip in February or November and you can expect average highs to be over 20C – perfect for lounging around the pool whilst all of your friends are wrapped up back home!

As mentioned above, one of our favourite destinations not only in the UAE but the world is Dubai. It is here that you will find the iconic sights of the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, and the famous man-made island that is shaped like a palm tree. The attractions don’t stop there though, with the Dubai Shopping Mall the place to buy anything that your heart could possibly desire. And of course, like most destinations, there are the places that you don’t hear as much about that can often be the best part of your trip. Take Dubai Garden Glow for example – the world’s largest glow-in-the-dark theme park which takes you on a nighttime adventure through sea and forest settings. Who knew that there is so much to do in the middle of a desert?

Our other favourite destination is the capital of the United Arab Emirates itself, Abu Dhabi. Almost everything in this grand city is sure to take your breath away. Beginning with the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, this vast complex is one of the largest mosques in the world and is characterised by its incredible 82 white domes! Emirates Palace is also a sight worth seeing and is accompanied by a luxurious private marina. Formula 1 is hugely popular in the country too and as a result, the outstanding Ferrari World was built. This mostly indoor theme park (due to the high temperatures) is also the place to find the world’s fastest rollercoaster: Formula Rossa. Yep, that’s just one more thing in the United Arab Emirates that manages to trump the rest of the world.
